Who we are

We all have different stories.
But we share one thing:
we’re
out-of-office & we’re determined to make the most of it.

Whether you landed here because of a layoff, burnout, a sudden realisation, parental leave or any other reason – what we all have in common is that we are out-of-office right now and share the same inner drive: We refuse to let this time pass unused or pull us down. We want to use it positively – for reflection, growth, new clarity and a next step that actually feels right. And we long for support on eye level, from people who simply get it.

Who you will meet here

01

The ones who just got laid off

caught in mass layoffs, “restructuring” waves, or suddenly declared surplus to requirements.

02

tired of optimizing ads for fast fashion, training AI to replace humans, or making billionaires even richer.

The ones searching for purpose

03

The ones who realized the job will never love them back

toxic bosses, glass ceilings, soul-crushing OKRs, or the quiet knowing this isn’t their life.

04

close to burnout, already burned out, or who finally shouted “FU” in their head and walked out.

The ones who ARE SIMPLY FED-UP

05

The ones RETURNING AFTER BIG RESPONSIBILITIES

after paternity/maternity leave, caregiving or other meaningful breaks, ready to step back into work life.

The truth?
IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW OR WHY
YOU ENDED UP OUT-OF-OFFICE

What truly connects us is one thing: the strong drive to make the absolute best out of this time. We’re open to anyone with that motivation – and we happily celebrate the little freedoms together, like finally having time for the gym, cafés or just breathing while the rest of the world is stuck in the office grind.

RANIM HELWANI

Like many of us, my career had always been a steady climb – good education, constant progress – so a toxic workplace forcing me to quit and a mass layoff only two years later caught me completely off guard.

The self-doubt and inner pressure hit hard, but they also woke me up: I don’t have to accept this as failure. This phase can be powerful – and I know, I don’t have to go through it alone.

That’s why I created the OOO Club: to rebrand this phase and turn it into a valuable journey, lived, together.
